SCRMS THE FORUM
The SCRMS Web Office is designed to offer its viewers a more
comprehensive look at what SON'S City Reentry Management Systems is all
about and how to take advantage of its mission in the community.
This is a ministry that incorporates what we call a holistic approach
to healing our communities. This is done by challenging the institutions and policy
makers to remove and redesign activities in their groups that create and
maintain barriers. These barriers preclude certain target populations from
receiving equitable services and opportunities for success. One
such population is Individuals With Criminal Records (ICRS).
The approach that will be taken is to provide leadership training and
capacity building to local church congregations, Community Based
Organizations (CBO) and other stakeholders with an interest in both
community building and public safety.
The training will help to build skills that will be used to peacefully
demonstrate the communities' concerns with the disparities found in many
areas that prevent the underserved from being successful. It will
also provide skills to offer successful demonstrable alternatives to the
institutions and policy makers.
